The Church

Hmmmm....

I have been ever so convicted lately about the church as a whole. I am discouraged about the direction the "Church" has taken. My thoughts and discouragement, have been from the split intellectually the church has been taking. You are either in a church that is intellectually driven, or one that is Emotionally driven. It is really draining on so many sides.

Not that I think a church should be either driven by intelligence or emotion, yet it seems to have come to that. We have now traded in denominations for intellectual preferences. It is so frustrating for me. I love to think that a Holy Spirit driven church can be intellectually sound, as well as a theological sound church can find joy in everyday occurrences. There seems to be a lack of joy and freedom in "Intellectually" driven churches.

This is so very hard for me...I love to enjoy my walk with the Lord and although many pastors have written on the theology of being joyful....there are so many churches that just can't act it out. Action I think is a huge problem for intellectual churches, yet the emotionally driven churches are joyful, yet when a storm comes, not really knowing how to fight.

This is my thesis for my PHD. HAHA!! I think we have been in Seminary toooo long.
