Humble Pie

Marriage I have found is a very humbling experience. Only being married five months, I am no pro by any means. I do know though that when my friends told me that you see how selfish you really are, when you get married, they were right! I have been use to going to the restaurants I want to eat at, buying things I want to buy, and treating myself to things I "think" I deserve. I would like to say this first and foremost. I LOVE being married. I think there is nothing better. I just didn't know how self consumed I was until now. Which is pretty sad :( It gets me thinking how often has God looked at me and been like.....What are you doing? Look at me!!.....we all live and hopefully learn from at least a portion of it. I pray that as I strive to be a more godly woman, as my sins are revealed so vividly that I would learn a portion from it. -jj-
